How the App Works on Your Device

BeFocussed provides the following features, all of which operate locally on your device:

• Smart App Tracking — Monitors and displays your app usage patterns with detailed analytics, all processed and stored locally on your device.
• Usage Limits & Focus Mode — Allows you to set custom usage limits for apps and websites, and block distracting apps during focus sessions.
• Reel & Short-Form Video Blocking — Blocks short-form video content (such as Reels and Shorts) to reduce mindless scrolling.
• Adult Content Blocking — Filters and blocks inappropriate content to provide a safer browsing experience.
• Anti-Uninstallation Protection — Prevents unauthorized removal of the app, ensuring continued protection.

None of the data generated by these features is transmitted to our servers or any third party. Everything stays on your device.

Device Permissions

BeFocussed may request certain device permissions to provide its core functionality. These permissions are used solely for the app's intended purpose:

• Usage Access — Required to track app usage statistics on your device.
• Accessibility Service — Used to detect and block short-form video content and inappropriate content within apps.
• Device Administrator — Used for anti-uninstallation protection to prevent unauthorized app removal.
• Display Over Other Apps — Required to show usage limit notifications and blocking overlays.
• Notifications — Used to send usage reminders and alerts locally on your device.

Data accessed through these permissions is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to our servers.
